Washington DC Landmarks and Attractions



Located west of the Capitol Building, Washington's National Air and Space Museum attracts 12 million people every year and is often referred to as the world's most visited museum. Amoung the many items on display are the Wright Brothers' 1903 "Wright Flyer", Aviator Charles Lindbergh's "Spirit of Saint Louis", the X-1 rocket plane that first broke the sound barrier and the command module from Apollo 11. The National Air and Space Museum also features the Albert Einstein Planeterium and the Samuel P Langley IMAX Theater.
